Agua Dulce Gloriosa (they/them)
Alliance Youth Fellow

Agua Dulce Gloriosa (they/them) is a queer, neurodivergent, and transdisciplinary artist who manages the ChangeMakers Leadership Institute at The Alliance.

Since joining in 2023, Agua has dedicated themselves to developing the ChangeMakers program. Mentoring a small cohort of queer youth through dynamic educational workshops and storytelling projects, Agua supports the ChangeMakers in their creation of Queer Joy events as well as the development of their youth-led social justice campaign.

Agua passionately believes in the innate power and wisdom that young people possess to understand and decide who they are. They see world-building as a vital act of creativity, recognizing that youth are uniquely positioned to influence and shape the future through their ability to imagine and enact change. Guided by a Queer Black Feminist framework, Agua actively challenges oppressive systems and emphasizes the importance of diverse expressive outlets for processing and sharing lived experiences. They find immense joy in connecting youth with queer elders, artists, and movement workers, supporting them in recognizing their skills, autonomy, and the beauty of being queer.

Agua is a trained circle keeper through Fanm Saj. Additionally, they are serving as a 2024-2025 Resident Teaching Artist for ProjectArt. They previously served as the Narrative Teaching Artist for ICA Miami from 2022 to 2023 and as a Healing Educator for The Healing and Justice Center in 2022. They hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Art History from Florida International University.

P.S. Agua offers tattoos that celebrate self-adornment as a powerful means of autonomous self-empowerment. They also offer somatic-centered sound healing sessions that provide a space to process grief and foster transformation.
