Bea is a 15-year-old MDCPS high school freshman in Kendall. As a Latina, bisexual, transfem woman, Bea hopes to bring tolerance, patience and the ability to think things through when addressing people with differing perspectives. As a ChangeMakers Leader, Bea is excited to gain satisfaction through new experiences, material compensation for her labor, and interactive learning workshops offered by the leadership institute. Bea’s areas of focus include trans rights, improving mental health access and education quality, addressing the harmful effects of class division, and achieving change at the systemic level.
