Chris is a 17-year-old high school Senior in Coral Gables. He is a leader in social justice in his community through his work with Sunrise Miami and Power U. Chris brings perspectives shaped by his experiences as a Hispanic white gay male with a deep commitment to community. He leads with empathy, actively listening to those most impacted by systemic issues, and he advocates for sustainable solutions that address root causes. He is passionate about reimagining systems to both create space for overlooked voices and to empower people to find solutions to social problems.   

As a ChangeMakers Leader, Chris hopes to deepen his skills in organizing and mobilizing communities around social (namely LGBT+) justice. He aims to learn strategies for building stronger, more inclusive networks that empower others to take action while sharpening his ability to listen, collaborate, and create meaningful change tailored to his community's unique needs. Chris’ areas of focus include the intersections of climate justice, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights.
