Eisler Leyva (he/they)
Care Coordinator
Eisler Leyva (he/they) is a Cuban-born, Miami-raised Care Coordinator here at The Alliance for LGBTQ Youth. He works collaboratively with youth and families to navigate challenges and the complexities of systems in ways that are meaningful, nurturing, and make space for empowerment. Eisler joined The Alliance in 2025 and is a fervent advocate for accessible, culturally competent mental health care and the strengthening of community networks.
Over the past six years, he has worked at the intersection of mental health and political advocacy in both clinical and research settings, including at Florida International University and the University of Miami. His experience includes program coordination, direct services, and community-based research focused on school readiness, youth mental health, and behavioral interventions.
Eisler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from FIU and is currently completing his Master’s in Social Work. He hopes to pursue a PhD in Social Welfare to deepen his community-building efforts through an academically informed, culturally responsive lens.
