Erica Reese (she/her)
MSW Intern

Erica Reese (she/her) is a queer Latina clinical intern at The Alliance, where she provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support youth in navigating life’s challenges. She joined The Alliance in 2025 and is passionate about creating affirming, empowering spaces for queer youth to thrive.

Erica brings a strong background in child welfare and advocacy. She has worked with the Miami-Dade Office of Regional Counsel and the Florida Department of Children & Families, where she supported family reunification and assisted with child protection cases. She is certified in Child Advocacy Studies and has conducted research with the Zero Abuse Project to expand access to child advocacy education nationwide.

She earned her B.A. in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Pre-Law from the Florida Institute of Technology, graduating summa cum laude, and will complete her Master of Social Work at Florida International University in Spring 2026. Erica believes that the work done at The Alliance can have a great impact on the wellbeing of queer youth. She is excited to provide the services and clinical support that empower youth through their most challenging moments.

P.S. Erica’s favorite animals are alligators and cats. She loves to bedazzle just about anything you could find in the house (soda cans, ranch dressing, TV remotes)!
