Mary Beth Loretta, MSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (they/them)
Clinician

Mary Beth (they/them) is a white queer gender non-conforming Clinician here at The Alliance who is so excited to partner with our queer youth by creating a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental, and fun space so that our LGBTQ+ young people can grow, laugh, heal, and become the leaders they were born to be.

They have been with The Alliance since September 2022. They believe in the criticality of collaborating with and empowering our queer youth for not only the youth’s sake but for the benefit of all of the systems they are a part of.

Mary Beth has experience working with queer clients in a variety of clinical settings including at FIU's college counseling center and at an in-patient substance use treatment center. In these settings they facilitated group therapy and provided individual therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma therapy, mindfulness and affirmative therapy techniques. They practice within a client-centered, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive framework.

Mary Beth holds a Master of Social Work degree from Florida International University and is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern working towards their licensure.

P.S. They followed the band Haim on tour from Miami, to Atlanta, to D.C., and New York City in the Summer of 2022 with one of their best friends.
