Nathalie Perdomo, MSW, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (she/ella/they)
Clinical Manager

Nathalie Perdomo (she/ella/they) is a queer Latina woman and the Clinical Manager here at The Alliance. In addition to supporting our clinical team, she works directly with queer youth to identify their strengths, navigate challenges, and feel affirmed in who they are. Nathalie approaches every client with a trauma-informed and affirming lens, meeting young people where they are and walking alongside them in their journeys. She has been with The Alliance since 2018.

She believes it is important to validate and celebrate our LGBTQ+ young people for their courage in openly sharing who they are while navigating environments that aren’t always accepting and supportive. Through her work, she has had the priviledge of witnessing the resilience and wisdom of the LGBTQ+ youth she has served.

Her clinical training at The Alliance includes safety planning, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and connecting youth with life-enhancing resources. Nathalie has co-facilitated group therapy, provided family therapy, and offered individual counseling. She also draws from her background as a trauma-informed yoga instructor, sharing inclusive yoga practices with clients and the community, including virtual classes during the pandemic.

Nathalie holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University. She is currently a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern working towards her Licensure. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Family Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and the AFFIRM model, an evidence-based CBT group for LGBTQ+ youth and adults.

P.S. Nathalie loves to release stress and tension through letting out big sighs!! Try it. AHHHHHHH! She loves moving her body and shaking off the heaviness of the world any chance she gets. She’s also a cat mom to two kitties; Chamoy and Cholula <3
