Shari Allison (she/they) is a proud queer Black professional and Process Assurance Manager at Assurant, where she leads a team responsible for audit readiness, process improvement, and control assurance across complex operational environments. With a strong background in risk management and process optimization, Shari brings strategic insight and a passion for equity and inclusion to every initiative she leads.

Before joining the board, Shari spent over a decade working with the Alliance for LGBTQ Youth, supporting programs that empower young people through advocacy, education, and community engagement. Her long-standing commitment to the organization reflects a deep belief in creating safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ youth to thrive.

In addition to her professional and community work, Shari is dedicated to fostering growth and learning, both within her team and the broader community, through mentorship, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

Shari is excited to bring her experience in governance, operational strategy, and youth advocacy to the Alliance’s board, helping to advance its mission and expand its impact throughout South Florida and beyond.
